This working group proposes to advance authorship attribution
research by constructing a detailed plan for developing community
resources. The National Science Foundation supports this
project through a planning grant. Shlomo Argamon, David Lewis,
and David Madigan are the PIs. The group plans to address the
following topics:

• Design of a collection or corpus of texts of known authorship
  for use as a research/development test bed
• Definition of standard attribution tasks for comparing techniques
• Formal evaluation methods
